A performance built Fixed-Head Coupe joins our showroom, boasting countless mechanical upgrades, this E-type offers a highly useable, reliable, and enjoyable driving experience, all packaged within a classic British sports car body.

Produced in July 1965 and original finished as a left-hand drive in Dark Blue with Light Blue trim and shipped directly to Jaguar of Eastern Canada, Montreal. Believed to have reminded in Canada for just short of half a decade, supported by documentation identifying owners, Mr Harker ‘80-‘84 and Mr Robinson ‘84-’89. In October 2013 the E-type was sold by a Mr Oran to the E-type’s current owner, who had the Coupe shipped back to the UK.

Believed to have been stored for over 20 years, the E-type landed in the UK finished in Red over Cream trim and proposed a prime candidate for restoration. Working with an experienced restoration as well as close family friend, the current owner began a full nut and bolt restoration to finish the car to a high standard, that offered a reliable and high-performance driving experience.

Understanding the importance of quality in the project, the restorer ensured all major refurbishment was completed by specialists. With the bodywork restoration underway, estimated to complete in early 2015, the restorer actioned the rebuild of the remaining crucial components, which notably saw the 4.2L engine rebuilt by Richard Parker Race Engines Ltd. Completed to a fast road specification, the XK straight-six was fitted with the following:

- Kent fast road four bolt cams
- Gasflowed Cylinder head
- Large race spec valves
- High compression pistons 9.7 to 1
- Stronger con rods balanced with extra oil holes

- Crank modified for proper lip seal

With Guy Broad suppling both a 5-speed gearbox and uprated rear axle, the E-type was treated with countless other performance upgrades to create a highly desirable and useable 1960’s classic. The Coupe boasts such upgrades as:

Now finished in Opalescent Dark Blue and treated to a plethora of desirable performance upgrades, the E-type was finished with Cream trim, LED map, dash and footwell lights, creating a comfortable and modern cabin environment. To put the cherry on top of this build, the E-type was fitted 15” competition stainless steel wheels with larger 205 Blockley tyres, tying together the elegant look of this 1965 Coupe.

To ensure the E-type’s performance is optimised for max performance, the Coupe was sent to be tuned and mapped taking advantage of the new engine management system in January 2020, resulting in a smooth and hugely satisfying driving example, with ample amounts of power, recorded to be delivering 260 BHP. Since completing its restoration the E-type has been meticulously maintained and dry stored, preserving its recent restoration.

2021, E-Type UK undertook further upgrade work to fit a Bluetooth enabled radio system, with DAB enabled front heated screen and upgraded leather seats with headrests. With paintwork and exterior brightwork in fantastic condition, paired with larger triple laced wheels, the E-type stands out from the crowd. With the interior beautifully contrasting the exterior paintwork and boasting some subtle modern comforts, this performance built classic is one not to miss.
