Firstly, we hope all of our customers, suppliers and website visitors are keeping safe and well during what has been a tragic time. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this terrible virus.
As we slowly awaken after over 3 months in lockdown, it was a welcome addition to be able to sit down and watch some Formula 1 last weekend. Now comes the time for us to fire up our engines and get back out for some competitive driving.
The extended break has given the race mechanics at DM Historics the opportunity to finalise a number of improvements to their stable of race cars. The most significant work has been undertaken on the wonderfully original and provenanced 1965 FIA’d Lotus Cortina. Benefitting from a new roll cage to be lighter and safer, new bespoke wiring loom to allow for ease of electrical issues at the racetrack and greater reliability and a new subframe to name just a few areas.
The first outing for the team will be at the upcoming Masters Historic meeting at Donington Park on the 18th July 2020. Following this, it is looking like a full calendar of races and testing across a range of cars and customers.
If you are looking to get out on track or want to get into historic racing, please contact the team at DM Historics on email: sales@dmhistorics.com or call 01732 852 762.
